Teamwork Makes the Difference

Within minutes of starting their hunt, Eddie and Alan spot three squirrels. Two dart swiftly across the woods, evading any chance of a clean shot, while the third climbs to the top of a towering conifer. Although visible with thermal optics, getting a clear shot proves tricky—but their confidence remains high.

The local farmer has planted numerous oak trees, but the squirrels have been causing significant bark damage. The goal of this hunt is to help reduce the squirrel population and protect the woodland.

Squirrel hunting can be frustrating when chasing them around a tree, but with two hunters working together, success is much more likely. Eddie explains, 

“I make noise on one side of the tree to flush the squirrel around to Alan’s side for the shot. It’s not about who takes the shot—it’s about effective population control.”
