Now the competitors are set-up and ready to go at the World Field Target Championships, Air Arms TV gets behind-the-scenes insights into the competition, follows the top competitors and secures exclusive interviews at the Heart of England conference centre.

Ever wondered what goes on at the World Field Target Championships? Air Arms follows some of the top competitors as they get to grips with the testing 50-shot courses around the 160-acre site at the Heart of England conference centre in the West Midlands.

Celebrating its 35th year, the enthralling competition attracted 450 of the best air gun shooters from all over the world. The 150 targets are shot using air rifles (PCP or Springer) with a muzzle energy not exceeding 12 ft. lbs from a variety of positions including standing, kneeling and sitting.

The video features an exclusive interview with competitor Tony Fouracres who gives insight into just how tricky the competition is given the windy conditions. He says the woodland is very dark, making visibility for rangefinding extremely difficult. Plus there’s an insightful interview with Air Arms ambassador and Team Wales competitor Jack Harris, who conversely says he prefers competing when there is a breeze as it makes the shooting more interesting.

One thing is for sure, the competition between 450 shooters from 23 nations is fierce!

Next time on Air Arms TV we attend the awards night. Be sure to subscribe to stay up to date with the series.
