The 2018 BFTA Grand Prix Series is in full swing. Round two of the intense field target shooting season took place at the Springfield Rifle and Pistol Club in Lincolnshire. The Air Arms Field Target team continued their strong shooting. They finished the day with a solid position on the board.
The BFTA Grand Prix Series has long been a highlight of the field target season, with competitions taking place in some of the finest shooting grounds across the UK. The biggest names in the FT world are eager to put in solid performances early in the season and gain further momentum for upcoming events.
Continuing his stunning performance from the NEFTA Classic, Dorian ‘Doz’ Falconer finished top of the ‘AA’ Class with the highest score of the day with 49ex50. The competition between team members was also very close as Justin Wood and current World Champion, Jack Harris were hot on Dorian’s heels with 48 points each.
In the ‘A’ grade Andy Monniez shot a 45 to tie for the lead. James Head ended the day with a score of 44, which was enough to hold 2nd place. On the team front, all four Air Arms teams performed well, taking the top spots in Leagues One and Two. Air Arms remain atop both leagues after 2 rounds.
Overall it was another successful round for the Air Arms Field Target Teams. With six more rounds remaining, the intensity is starting to heat up. GP3 will take place on 27th May at the Rivington Rilfe Club in Bolton.
