It was a superb end to the 2018 Southern Hunters Series as Team Air Arms win gold in every category. The series took place during the winter period at HFT Shooting clubs based across the Southern areas of the UK. It was the ideal opportunity for shooters to hone their skills ahead of the UKAHFT National season this summer.
Open to shooters of all abilities, this years series saw 222 HFT compete in over nine rounds of shooting. After five-months of top quality competition, Team Air Arms hauled an incredible nine trophies, claiming top spots in each category. Stand out performances came from Vince Holland, using his Air Arms FTP900 was crowned Open Class Champion.
The awards kept coming for Team Air Arms as Nigel Wood comfortably finished in 1st place in the Recoil Class. Fellow Air Arms shooters, Jason Locket ended the series as the .22 Class champion and Mike Burgess walked away the Veterans Class honours. It wasn’t just the men that dominated the leader-board; Jade Saunders was awarded Ladies Winner of the Southern Hunter Series using her AA S400. The prizes didn’t stop there. Young HFT shooter George Danvers took home top honours in the Junior Class. Air Arms generously donated a TX200HC to be given away as a raffle prize, which was won by Nigel Wood.
