The Midland Field Target Association’s (MFTA) 2016/17 Winter League recently came to a close at the anticipated 10th round at Millride Field Target Club in Essington on Sunday 26th February 2017.

Out of around 80 competitors, Air Arms Field Target Captain James Osborne impressively placed 2nd in the AA grade and in the whole league with a total of 673.9 points, which he accumulated over the 10 rounds of the fierce competition. Team Air Arms member Andrew Watkins came first in the A grade with 652.6 points, which placed him in 6th position in the entire MFTA 2016/17 Winter League.

Andrew Watkins commented on the competition: “It felt like a very long season that got off to a rough start. I had some catching up to do with shooter Ian Phillips and it came right down to the last shoot. I’m thrilled to have come out on top in the A grade and can’t wait for the next shoot!”

    Well done Air Arms team.
I would be very happy if I could be half as good at shooting with my rifle at the club I go to.
